Question Tire size increase

Hey guys, idk if this is quite the best place to ask this but I figure why not. I would like to put 31x 10.5's Mickey Thompson mud terrains on my 2015 Trax LT, problem is; no way could those fit in the stock wheel wells. Assuming I get offset rims and possibly spacers do you think it would still rub against the side of the vehicle and rub and/or scratch?

Go diesel or go home.

There is no way you are going to get 31x10.5's to fit. The Trax has a MacPherson strut front end, there is only about 1 inch space between the (original size) tire and the spring perch of the front strut. You might get by with one or possibly two sizes taller, any more and the tires will rub on the spring perch.

There isn't much room to do much, you could use the 18" buick encore or chevy cruze wheel and run a 215 or 225/18".

My buick with the 215's looks way better than the Trax 205's

I have about the biggest wheel tyre combo I could fit on my Trax. 20 inch x 8.5 wide with 245/40/20 tyres. The rolling circumference is as close as I could get to the original size tyres that were 215/55/18's to keep the speedo correct. No rubbing or scrubbing issues and its also lowered 45mm from standard.
