Only 8.4 Million THIS Time....

Yes another day, another round of recalls... This time its 8.4 Million , mostly full size sedans.

While still removed from their current crop of offerings I'm beginning to get a little weary about GM product...

Garage
13 people died caused by ignition key fault, or so the court cases decided that.
It looks like GM decided 13 is enough, lets correct all possible faults before more people die.
We wish other car manufacturers would do the same.
Quality control during manufacturing is hard when you have many manufacturing plants all over the world.

Maybe someone died of old age after trying to read that entire infographic.

At this point it feels like GM will recall all of its vehicles. It seems they all have secret problems that GM has known about for a while and is only now letting us all know about.

i wouldn't doubt the fact that they hold back on recalling cars for some time

Everything is knackered...

Quote:
A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.
The business of business is business...
