Surge

I have a 2016 Trax awd. It has roughly 59,000 miles on it. While going up a slight incline where it’s not enough to down shift it has a surge feeling. It does not have any codes and has a recent tune up ( plugs oil change and air filter) also I had the live data watched on the boost presser and it was fine what could be my issue? It also had the coil pack replaced like 25,000 miles ago. I have also tried a different grade of fuel.

my 2019 with 1000 miles does the same thing (but not all the time). Not sure why it is happening.

Is it just the torque converter unlocking or actual surge ahead?

I don't think it is a torque converter lockup. It feels like you are in a row boat. I'll have to pay attention
if the engine RPM changes.
