As demand tapers off for the Trax i can see it possibly being eliminated in about 5 years. That being said, it doesn't look much different than the current Chevy Blazer, in fact it's like a new trim level if anything comes to mind. They're going to take the drive train from the current Equinox and slap them into Blazer bodies, instead of the current 3.6L V6 which makes the Blazer higher priced than the current Equinox.
That could hurt Trax sales in the long term, but in my opinion it would hurt Blazer sales more. If you can get basically the same truck with some off-road capabilities for $10K less than one that it looks exactly like it, why would you pay the extra money other than to brag about the engine size. I know if it was available in that configuration when i went to the dealership, i would be in the Trailblazer forum instead of the Trax Forum.

That new car looks so good!
I really home they manage to make it good too!
I would love to upgrade to this when they reach the 3yr mark with loaners coming on the used market!

|Traxy||Probably because GM hasn't decided yet if they are going to kill the Trax with the release of the TrailBlazer in North America. In Europe they are keeping the Trax also called Tracker.|

|Traxy||Hopefully they'll have a full electric version. My Trax was the last ICE vehicle purchase. If GM doesn't get on board I'm saving for a Tesla model "Y". It will be my last vehicle purchase until I die. If GM has no plan to make the TrailBlazer fully electric, I think they missed the boat completely.|

Like the Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore GX, the Trailblazer will be built at GM's facilities in South Korea and exported to the U.S. continue reading...
