Little more then speculation at this point, but OPELS 1.6L Turbo will be coming across the pond in Buicks new Cascada. GM has said that the Cascada will not be the only GM product to make use of the engine...

TRAX anyone? it makes a cool 200 hp, I'd say more then enough... If true, I may just wait...

Ok smart guys...

At the 2015 Detroit North American International Auto Show, Buick unveiled the Cascada convertible – the badge-engineered cousin to an Opel of the same name. More exciting than anything else about the car, this model will finally bring Opel’s excellent 200 HP, 1.6 liter turbo to America’s shores.
But happily, we’ve been told, the 2016 Buick Cascada will not be the last North American model to make use of the power-dense beast.
Unless you've signed your papers already or are on the cusp of how can you discount the possibility that by the time you do purchase there will be a 1.6T option? Now if you don't want a 1.6T option fine, but in order to be competitive in segement Trax needs to offer at least 200 hp IMO...

If there's no sense of urgency to buy one right now then by all means wait it out and keep what you're driving now till you can place and order for an 2016 Trax, which going off of what you quoted could very well be 2016.

Happening as soon as that, it's worth waiting.
