My Trax has a clicking sound coming from under the bonnet.
Sounds like the signal light sound but it is not the signal light. I have attached the sound clip of it.
Can anyone explain what it maybe.

The Air Conditioning compressor will make a clicking sound when it starts and stops the compressor.

Relays, in the under hood fuse box will also make a clicking sound like a turn signal.

If you have a solid wood or metal rod ( a broom stick works great) you can put it next to your ear and use it like a doctors stethoscope to determine where the clicking is coming from.

When you hit the right component or spot, the clicking will become loudest, try it.

Anything with a solid shaft works great, another good one is using a piece of heater hose, you can zero in on a noisy rocker arm and know exactly where you are going without lifting the valve cover.

You eliminate the background noise by listening to another part of the engine, the suspect noise will stick out like a sore thumb when you get it on the right component.
