I just picked up a new 2015 Trax (USA) after turning in my 2012 Cruze and I was ecstatic about the possibility to play music over Bluetooth finally on quick drives when I don't feel like plugging in. On my Cruze I would have to either plug into USB or AUX in order to play music. I use Spotify primarily for music and discovered yesterday what seems like a huge oversight with the Trax -- it appears you cannot play music over Bluetooth when connected to the USB port. This wouldn't be a big deal at all if except I also cannot simply play the audio through the USB either! I don't have any iPod music stored on my phone, I would always stream from Spotify over the USB line.
So now picture me on a long drive, wanting to listen to music and keep my phone charged. I have to have the USB plugged in for power AND the AUX plugged in to play the music I want to hear! This seems crazy, and a step back from a car made 4 years ago where I only needed one cord. Spotify streams over BT flawlessly so long as the USB is not plugged in, but the second I want to charge I can't listen to it because MyLink disables the bluetooth option entirely (despite still being connected to BT for phone etc).
Can anyone else comment on this? When we're plugged in are we limited to Pandora through the MyLink app and the Apple "iPod/Music" app?
