Hi everyone, I am not a "car guy" but definitely need the help of some people who are.
I've had my 2015 Trax since the summer of 2015. Last year I started to notice a persistent oil leak in my driveway, and smelled burning oil inside the car. I have not had the money to do any major repairs until this year, and then about 2 months ago I was in and out of a local mechanic's shop for a month as they worked on it. He said there was something GM/Chevy has to fix the oil leak.
Can someone point me in the right direction for finding out more about this? Now, about 2 months after my repairs I am noticing the oil leak coming back again. It smokes like its burning oil, but then I check the levels and it seems more than 3/4 full to completely full. Its almost time for another oil change, but I'd really like to just have this problem fixed, and maybe sell it if I can be assured its in great shape again.

Usually rear main seals or crankshaft seals leak.

Are you checking the oil level when the motor is already warmed up but off?

2015, did you have the oil lines to the turbo replaced with the updated ones?
