I have a 2018 Chevy Trax, took possession in February. Just discovered the AC power outlet in the back does not work. A light is supposed to come on when the device (such as a cellphone charger) is plugged in. I check the fuse for the outlet, it is good (does not need to be replaced). Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem? What can I do? Thanks, James

Probably under warranty, i'd take it back if it's nothing obvious. Did you try something else? I have never tried mine, maybe I should.

I have to have the car turned on for mine to work. Then it'll quit a few minutes after I turn the car off. I have a 2015 LT.
That does not surprise me at all. The 12V feed to the inverter is rated at 30A. If the engine (and its alternator) were not running and a max load was applied to the AC outlet, the battery charge could be drawn down very quickly.

One amp of output at 120 VAC will need 11-12 amps of input from the 12DC side. It would kill the battery very fast if the engine was not running.
