I have a 2016 Chevy Trax LS, the AC quit working a year ago and was told by dealership I needed a new compressor. Finally, a couple days ago a new compressor was installed and AC still blowing hot air. I was then told that it was an electrical issue and now I have another appointment on Friday to determine what electrical issue it is! Sooo frustrated!!

I would never bring my A/C problems to a dealer. There are A/C specialist and that's all they do, they are the experts and they usually pin point the real problem real quick because they have a routine method that works. It would have cost you a lot less and your A/C would have worked out the door with a guarantee.

I almost don't want to ask this. When the compressor was replaced, was new refrigerant added?

Yes, they would empty the system and then purge and refill with new refrigerant.

Yes it was
I would love to know what/where the issue is. I am going through the same thing with my 2019 trax. I had it at a shop for a week and they did nothing to it but kill my battery when they charged the battery the AC magically worked for a week and now is blowing hot again. :cautious:
