AutoShare Provides Toronto University Campuses With Chevrolet Trax
I just wanted to share the good news for Toronto University students! Or if you know someone from one of those campuses you can pass this on. AutoShare and Chevrolet has teamed up to provide students with 16 2015 vehicles for rental: the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, Sonic and Trax.
The registration fees are waived for Ryerson, University of Toronto, and York students. An additional perk for students is that the rental rate is $6 per hour on all available Chevrolet models. Not too sure if this applies to any other model.
Students will still have to apply for a membership but it may be worth it for your weekly trip to the grocery store and you get to drive the Trax.

I've never actually tried renting a car from AutoShare but students should be able to rent them for more than a day as long as they are willing to pay for it. They charge by the hour so people may want to try a daily rental company before going for the hourly one.
Oh, I kinda missed the per hour thing. Guess its really meant for more local transportation.
The student rental program sounds like it was meant for short term renting anyways. If you're going on a trip you may as well rent one and pay per day at another company. Still think it's cool that Autoshare has an up to date fleet instead of having only cars from ye olde days.
