Welcome to the forum and congrats on buying one. Mind sharing the details of your deal? It might help giving others a bit of a framework for negotiating if possible with the dealer of their choice.

In for delivery pictures if you have that planned :D

Bought one couple weeks ago.

Got a FWD LS. So far quite pleased. Have only put 800 miles on it. Computer says just over 32 mph. Has pleasing amount of pep -for my style of driving. Took it up to 75 a couple times on the interstate. Didn't seem to be a problem. Loaded 5 of us big kids and a couple coolers and went for a drive in the hills. Air conditioning running and speeds up to 65 - passing minivans. Again quite pleased.

How do you find pick up to be when overtaking vehicles on the street and highway?

Some people have said that there isn't much pick up and go with the Trax. Still others say its fine. I think it might have more to do with your expectations than objectively if the Trax is powerful enough.
Yeah you have a point which comes even more into play depending on what vehicle you're coming from which can vary depending if an ex-compact owner or ex-big engine owner.
