I want to change the spark plugs in my 2017 in about 10,000 miles when it has 50,000 on it. I read a lot of stories @bout boots breaking. It seems the factory wasn't putting dielectric grease on the boots. You can buy aftermarket individual boots now. They may have corrected the problem by 2017. Should I be worried abut the boots?

t-10 ratchet to remove coil. 5/8 dep well socket for plugs. I used a 6 inch extension with socket/ratchet to get to plugs. A little stiff pulling straight up. I don't know if my plugs were changed before (bought with 55,000 miles). I did not see anything on plugs that looked like dielectric was on boots, I put some on anyway. my boots looked good. mine is 2015

I bought my 2014 Trax new. I replaced the plugs and ignition coil in April. WHAT A MESS LOL! No dilectric grease and yes the boots broke. Spent 45 minutes peeling the boots off for a 7-10 minute job lol.
