We were not fans of the ugly silver color on the interior and the ugly silver exterior valences so I did something about it.

PARTS LIST
2 can of body color code matched - $23 each
1 can of Flex fill primer - $9
1 can of adhesion promoter for plastic parts - $8
2 can of 2K clearcoat - $18 each

Finish looks amazing, seems like it could be free of orange peel.

Since I like the idea of easily reverting back to bone stock, removing the trim to apply vinyl wrap is what i'd do.

Do you have any pics from the interior post trim work?

Front valence

Rear valence, wiper arm cover, smoked factory tails/3rd brake/reflectors

Interior parts

There is no orange peel. I only use paint mixed and put into rattle cans by the body shop supply

This is the ONLY clear I will ever use. At 18 bucks a can its worth every penny.

Next paint project I want to tackle is to use nightshades to make the chrome into black chrome.

It looks amazing after installation! Maybe you'll start a new trend with everyone and soon they'll have matching interior too.

That's impressive and just about in line with what some car makers already do... giving the Trax a modern updated feel, i'm sure the owner after you will like it a lot.

How durable is that finish?
