I recently had some work done on my 2016 Trax with 52,000 miles.
The Chevy dealer said there were some carbon deposits and recommended cleaning. I had them do it and it cost me $312 which included throttle body cleaning too.
I have read that most Direct Injection engines have problems with this as the fuel does not wash down the intake valves as it does on earlier fuel injected engines such as the Corvettes I used to own.
