OH! It's so roomy and cozy in here with no posts yet... Lemme break 'er in

First, is there a way to turn off the chime for the seatbelt? Sure, I should always wear my safety belt... But if anyone figured it out...

Second, this vehicle is pretty good on ground clearance, but wouldn't it handle better if it was lowered a couple inches? Just my $0.02

On a different note ... This lil 1.2l turbo is impressive. The takeoff and getting through traffic is refreshing after my '17 Terrain with a 2.0l which seemed to suffer between 30 ~ 50 mph. Yesterday morning I had a pseudo race with a Tundra in early morning traffic. I never got further back than his back bumper up to 60 mph...I was grinning. I may have lost the battle, but in my head I won the war.

Anywho, can't wait to hear from others with this redesign and their take on the new Trax.

I love the look and value proposition of the 2024 Trax. Seriously considering this as my next vehicle and torn between a fully loaded LT and the Activ. Seems like the differences are only cosmetic when you include all of the options on the LT. Never been a fan of black wheels though so kind of leaning towards LT model for now. I figure the 17" wheels on the LT trims will lead to a nicer ride too.

Glad to read some real world feedback on responsiveness. All of the magazine/online reviews have positive things to say about the acceleration too - at least around town. I really want to hear some real world fuel economy results too.

Funny you posted... My name is Vinny and was born in 67. Although I'm sure this correlation has nothing to do with your user name... Or maybe it does.

I feel this vehicle was meant to be a daily driver as opposed to the long haul vacation vehicle as my fuel economy seems better in town at city streets fuel economy. We'll have to see about the long haul vacation in June/July when I make my trek from OKC to Bend OR. The vehicle has a small fuel tank... I've been to "low fuel" twice and both times I added less than 12 gallons to bring it to full.

Now here's my theory... You're gonna see a lot of these decent fuel economy vehicles with engines the size of a touring motorcycle and small fuel cells that are great in town but not much better on the highway. We will be brainwashed by the car manufacturers and the govt that the vehicles we are currently using will go the same distance as electric cars as to push the agenda of going to all electric cars... But that's just my theory... Well have to wait 10 years to find out if I'm right.

My middle name is Vincent and I was born in '68 so that's where my username comes from. Love that Crimson Metallic color on your signature photo!

I am considering using the Trax as our secondary vehicle. As my wife and I get closer to retirement age we find the need for two cars to be less and less. I think the Trax would make a perfect second car for in town errands and short trips. I also think it is a great choice for people looking for their first new car. Until the redesigned Trax came out I was also considering the Ford Maverick for the same reasons. The Maverick is nice because it is available as a hybrid and AWD is optional. They both aim for a similar price point and I feel like those two are the best new vehicle bargains available right now. I really like the look of both of them.
Sorry, Maverick will always be a car to me. But I don't have to worry about it cuz I'm a Bowtie guy.

Does anyone know if the 2024 Trax shares the same platform with the Buick Encore GX? They seem about the same size and share the same 1.2L engine on the base model Buick.
VSS platform.

Buick Encore GX
Buick Envista
Chevy Trailblazer
Chevy Seeker/Trax

I think the Seeker was developed for Hogwarts
