GM has announced that it will invest $245 million into their Orion Assembly plant. That investment will be for an all-new model that is "unlike any in the pant's 32-year history."
We don't know much about the mystery model, but GM North America vice president of Manufacturing and Labor Relations, Cathy Clegg, said "The plant is up to the challenge of building this brand-new product, something it's never seen before." That's about all we know other than that the vehicle will go into production in the next three or four years.
It will be built alongside the Chevy Bolt. That makes me think that this new model will likely be electric.
