Help! I can't get the trunk light to turn off :-(

I didn't do anything different today that I recall except folding the rear seats down, however as I drove home I noticed a light coming from the trunk. I parked and checked the manual and searched the area for any switches but I can not tell how to turn this light off. I can take it to a chevy dealership tomorrow morning for direction but I'm worried if I leave it like this overnight the battery may drain. Can someone help? Thanks!

Ok well I just checked again and the light is now off, so perhaps my question was premature lol. But the rest of the lights turned off yet the trunk one remained on for quite a while which made me create this thread. I wouldn't expect one interior light to stay on much longer than the rest. Has anyone else ever noticed this with their Trax?
That is strange. The Trunk light isn't very bright lol so I may have just never noticed lol.
It's on again this morning again as I drive. Perhaps it always stays on? But maybe we don't notice it since the rear seats are usually not folded down.

On mine the rear light only go's on when you open the rear hatch it may be possible that the hatch isn't closed fully.
The next time it happens, the best thing to do is to yank the Fuse for that light if you're waiting on it to be resolved, sure beats having a dead battery the morning after
Wow! The trunk light on my Trax just did the same thing! It was on all the way home tonight on an hour and a half trip. We stopped and checked to be sure the hatch was closed correctly, but it never went off the rest of the trip. Then 10 minutes after we got home we noticed it was off. No idea why it stayed on so long, but it sure makes it difficult to see the traffic behind us when it is on. It would sure be nice to know why it did it.
