Good afternoon,

I recently had codes, P0171 and P0420. I replaced the oxygen sensor for bank 1.

The code did not disappear and an audible hissing sound can be heard near the purge valve. I took care of it by wrapping the connection area with electrical tape. The codes disappeared afterward.

I would like to replace the connection part but don't know its part name.

Please see the attached image.

I believe that is the fuel line from the tank going into the fuel rail ( see the yellow warning sticker with gas pump ). You shouldn't hear a hiss from that fitting or you'd smell gas. Maybe from the next fitting over to the right which is a PCV line.

Chevy covered my fuel evaporative purge valve that connects to the fuel intake. They had a special warranty for it. Only thing is that if it was something else I was on the hook for diagnosis plus. As it is that was the problem and no check engine light for over a year, no cost to me and a free loaner for the day it took.
