I own a 2014 Trax LT and installed HID lights for my low beams. They flickered when I tested them out. So I ordered the 2 X HID Error Code Warning Canceller Capacitor Decoder
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00E38EJ20/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This didn't change anything so I took it into a local shop that does HID and LEDs. For some strange reason on auto during the day the hids flicker. If I turn the switch to on it works fine. At night it also works fine and during the day if I turn the switch on for 30 seconds then back to auto they are fine again. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks!

It could be possible that the switch can't handle the load.

Some headlights that stay on during the day, run at lower power, maybe on that startup setting they are not getting the proper voltage.

Have the shop check the voltage going to the lights without touching the switch.

Look in the fuse box for a relay or they might be one for each headlight.

Look in the owner manual, it will give you a location and a pic of the fuse box, of the relay's if there is one.

My guess would be its going to be in the fuse box under the hood.

You might want to try covering up the light sensor first, should be on top of the dash board, that will tell it that its night and they might stay on all the time.
