Hi guys,

My wife and I live in Canada and her trax is coming up on 90000km. We have had it for just over 3 years with not too many issues. Just curious if anyone has a high mileage trax without major issues? Debating whether to keep it or not or get rid of it before warranty is up. I’m not 100% sold on the tiny turbo engine lasting well into the 200000kms

Thanks!

It's not a Trax but a taxi driver here in town with all in town driving has 360,000+Kms on a Cruze. Basically same drivetrain as a front wheel drive Trax. He's had oil leak issues but never had a turbo problem yet. Maybe he was just lucky, maybe he does strict maintenance. Maybe yours is going to breakdown tomorrow or in 3 years, life is a gamble I guess. Like I said in an other thread a turbo complete is $500, this shouldn't be a reason to worry too much. A good brake job is more than that in parts alone.

A new Turbo is only $500? I didn’t realize that. That’s cheaper than I would have thought. I read on some other forums about people having a lot of issues with the trax, not just engine problems. If I could get close to 300000km without any major issues I’d be ecstatic.
