HVAC model control not working (2017)

Hi, my girlfriend has a 2017 Chevy Trax. The HVAC mode control, that controls which vents the air blows from, is not working. The air just blows out of all the vents no matter which setting it’s on. The temperature and blower speed both work correctly. I have been unable to find any useful help online for this, and don’t want to tear apart the dash until I have a new part ready to go in. Has anyone fixed this problem? Should I be looking for a new blend door actuator (electronic) or a new cable?

Yeah I've seen that, but the OP did not confirm if that was his issue and if replacing that actually fixed it. My girlfriend just said she "unlocked" a memory of accidentally forcing the control knob clockwise when it was already at the farthest clockwise position. Now that means its probably the control mechanism, and possibly the cable too.
