The problems I see with these new engines is they are getting way too complicated to be maintained by the individual car owner.
I hate having an engine with components on it that I don't understand or know how to repair.
I really like my Encore but it sounds like I won't be liking it when it gets any mileage on it.
I may have to take a giant step backwards in time, buying an older car is sounding more like a good idea.
I wonder if that's the cause of the crankcase odor when the HVAC is set on fresh air at idle. What a crappy design, requiring replacement of the valve cover and intake manifold for a 5 cent non-replaceable rubber check valve.
