2016 Lt with premium sun & sound and mylink infotainment. It has 32,000 miles and I have put all but 10 of them on.
The Turbocharger failed causing acceleration/speed and non-response when leaving stops. However I do not specifically consider those a specific complaint.
My complaint is the sound system, I have an appointment at the dealership tomorrow over it. I am risking 2020 plague exposure over how terrible it is. Original mylink system has been replaced by the dealership under warranty once already over settings suddenly losing the usb port function as well as usb in the settings disappeared, the touchscreen became completely unresponsive and responded only after using the 10th+ touch. Reprogramming factory operating system as well as installing the "updated os" both failed to solve problems. I am so frustrated with this system that I am about to become the owner of a "$1500 priced frisbee radio" after hurling it out of the window at interstate speeds. The radio in my 20 year old vw beetle has better functionality and sound quality. Full device volume and volume of mylink at maximum and you barely have to put effort into a conversation with a passenger. There are no android, voice control, screen mirroring or media connection play store apps that can be added(which was one thing both used to market and my reason to justify paying so much)
I have one single app I use out of the 4 factory ones installed. The pandora app is no better in form or function than using the bluetooth connection that happened in the late 90's that replaced the FM transmitters in vehicles. Also I find it infuriating that the radio starts back to the XM audio source *that I don't subscribe to... on the preview station instead of starting the fm radio station I had on when the key was shut off. How hard is a working yellow memory wire or simple programming line of code?
A manually controlled potentiometer (aka: mechanism called a knob) managed how to be on the same station through ignition power cycles but a touchscreen can't.
My remedy for smart device stupidity may end up being a shoehorn to "pry the dumb out".
There are numerous other problems with this stereo system but I have to stop my rant, and just leave on the fact I never thought I would miss $10-$20 head units, sub/amps financed by part time employment combos that smell like 90's electricronics and a blown door speaker for the cherry on top...
My dad loves how my Bose sounds...his hearing loss is proven by his car radio he has set to sound like it is from a tin can & stretched string.
End rant, putting the internet down now. Lol
