Hey everyone,

New to the forum and to Trax. I just did a straight trade: my 2013 Honda Civic for the 2013 Trax. I'm excited! I miss being higher up so people can actually see me! Perfect size for me and good on gas for a commuter, I cant wait till I have the trax. Should be next week!:)

Steph, welcome to the forum! Any photos of your Trax you could share?
hey @steph

Welcome to the forum. I'm curious how you decided on the Trax and what other vehicles you considered.

Looking forward to chatting with you more.

Cheers.
Will post pictures once I have her, should be picking up my trax on Tuesday evening!

@TrainTrax - I currently have a 2013 Honda Civic and while I like the car and haven't had any issues with it, I just miss being higher up and in a bit of a bigger vehicle. I was looking at a lot of different SUV type vehicles, I really like the Jeep Liberty but am a commuter and don't want to end up paying a fortune in gas (especially with how much the price is jumping!) Ended up finding a dealer that was willing to do a straight trade for my civic, so I'm gaining a bigger vehicle and no cash involved. The only downside for me is the civic has 7,000km and the trax has 28,000km. But other then that it's in great condition and drives beautifully. I'm excited!
Me, my wife and my friends all love how easy it is to step into the car. I, as the driver, am impressed with its city handling. Very manoeuvrable, short turning circle, quick engine start and very economic in city driving. Many city drivers here in Yellowknife did the same thing, trading in their vehicle for a Trax.

Welcome to this Forum.
Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get my trax! Hopefully it will be today :)

I hope so too, keep us posted on it. Did your dealer say around when you can go pick it up?

Woohoo will be ready this evening, I am picking it up after work around 6:30! :-D
And she's home. I picked up my trax last night. She's awesome and love the higher driving position compared to my civic. My boyfriend actually loves it too, he's 6'4 and found it hard to get in and out of the civic. No problems now!

Hi all, new to Chevy, Chevy Trax and the forum. Have been driving nothing but pick-ups for the last 30 yrs so the Trax is a pleasant change. Especially at the pump!!!!!!! So far zero complaints only a few things getting use to.

Awesome, glad to hear that your experience with the trax has been great so far.

how many miles have you been able to put on it so far?
I have put on about 2700 kms so far. Both highway and city. I find it just wonderful!!! I couldn't be happier with the little beast. Where I live we can get some pretty extreme winds, I find it does very well on the highway even in the wind. The only negative that I find is SIRI needs a hearing aid sometimes, ha ha, but I really don't know if it is an Apple or MyLink issue.

that's great to hear, especially that you have that many KMs on your vehicle.
Are you keeping track of how it's MPG's improve while you're in the engine break in process

on the plus side it is better than S-Voice and more entertaining at times.

The kms/litre says inbetween 8.3-7.1 I have not actually checked it myself though. Over all I am very happy, we are in for a bit of snow now so I am anxious to see how the AWD does and handles.

Nice!
Usually when i get a new vehicle or just feel i need to test my winter driving skills I head out to a big open parking lot during the first snow fall and mess around. That might be something you might want to try out. Better to mess up in a parking lot than on busy public roads!
