Hello traxers, I am thinking about trading my daughters 2012 Cobalt for a Trax with Nav. This may suit her better for when she starts college in the fall.

I work for a dealer and we just got our first one in yesterday.

@ChevyMgr Welcome :D

That will indeed be a nice transition for your daughter, I have noticed a lot of women like the Trax and of course the luxurious Encore. Has she seen the Trax as yet? If so, what's her impression of it?

Glad to have you here.

Being a Manager, would you be able to help us out with any information that would be of use to us?

I know GM sometimes sends it's Customer service reps on forums to assist but i think it's also great to have someone on the dealership end of things to be part of it all.

I will help if I can. GM reps will be on this forum when it gets going and sales get fired up. Of course they come on representing GM, I come on representing me.

Welcome aboard! What are your first impressions of the US spec Trax?
This vehicle is definently being marketed to a younger generation. I drove the one we have and I didn't have any bad thoughts on it. I like the size and I like the technology. It will have problems, but they will get worked out just as the Cruze, Sonic and Spark problems did and are being worked out.

Do you think that the type of customer that walks into your dealership will like it?
Is it something you can see selling well?

That's hard to say. It's really close to the Equinox and with incentives on the nox, it may be tough at first to sell these. I see the young crowd going for them.

Are you foreseeing similar issues, I was figuring the year or two on the Canadian market would of hammered out most of the kinks.

I think we see the Trax incentivised to combat the Equinox incentives, otherwise they end up with another Silverado/Colorado situation where the incentives place the larger truck under the smallers price ceiling...
