Just curious is there an aftermarket oil dip stick I could use to be able to check the oil level easier. This is the same dip stick that was in the cobalt I had a while ago and it's hard to get an accurate full reading. Can I use the dip stick in the other 1.4 le2 engine?

Simple answer, no to all questions. Aftermarket parts are few and far between for the Trax. As for using the LE2 dipstick, even though they have the same displacement, the oil pan shapes are different which will throw off the level reading.

It's OK just hard to get an accurate reading. I like the other style where it's just two dimples and a smooth surface in between.

If the level is in the lower crosshatched area you should add some. If it’s in the upper crosshatch it’s ok as long as it’s not beyond the top of it. As long as you keep the oil level in the center you’re good.
