Pulling boat out of lake

I'm probably stupid to even think this, but once in the Spring of the year I back my 18' pontoon down a slight sand slope and in the Fall I pull it out, about 2200 pounds. Will the Trax pull it out? What does the hitch attach to? Is this a unibody vehicle? I want an AWD vehicle that also gets good gas mileage but cannot afford a new Equinox or Rav or Santa Fe, I can afford the new Trax, but I need it to pull that boat out of the lake. Thank you for your help.

the UK spec page says it will tow a 1200 kg trailer with brakes, which is like 2600 lbs. If you're seriously just pulling it out of the lake and thats it you should be fine... but don't take just my word for it, see if you can substantiate or find proper tow ratingd from our side...

Can't say for sure but you might be testing the limits of the vehicle with that. You'll have to weigh the boat (or know the weight) and check up on the Trax specs.

What do you currently use?

his boat and trailer weigh 2200 lbs, posted in OP.
Just an fyi because I had a hitch installed. Chevrolet says that it was not made for towing and my friend hooked his 5x10 trailer to it and the trax was almost sitting on the back tires.
You could try it out but I would lean towards not pushing the limits of what the Trax is capable of. Its not meant for this.
