My brother (who is a qualified mechanic) has changed the thermostat on my 2013 Trax, but now the rad fan doesn't appear to be cutting in. Does anyone have any suggestions why this might be and how we fix it. Thank you

To test the fan turn on A/C. Fans should come on immediately. Also make sure you have burped your coolant system from air locks. Also your fans may act differently now that you have a new thermostat. If your brother didn't disconnect anything all should be normal. If you have an OBDII reader you can monitor temperature.

First fan speed should start at 105°C ( 221°F ) if your fans don't come on overheat temperature light should come on at 128°C or ( 262°F )
