Hey Yall! I just took my 2019 Trax AWD out for a spin with my daughter. When we got home she noticed that the brake rotors were rusty. I thought rust was normally supposed to go away after you drove? I haven't driven in a a little while because the virus quarentine. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else noticed this?

Generally surface rust will burn off once you start driving for a while. I have enough hills to go up and down that it's not hard to clear them quickly, but if you're in a more flat area it may take an extra day or two.

Don't worry they will rust over night after a rain. They may be a little noisy too until you burnish the rotors back down to metal. A few hard braking stops will do the trick. I live on a hill usually by the time I get to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill they are quiet and shinny again.
