I have a 2018 Trax just bought in April. Well I live in where we’ve been getting pounded with snow with a side of ice. Anyways, on my way to work (first time driving it after a snow storm) my service awd light come on...strange, I only have approximately 31000 KMs on it. Also, I noticed that when my AWD tries to kick in it’s making a grinding sound and I can feel it through my accelerator! Why is this happening and I hope it’s covered in my warranty. Also, thawed my car
In a heated garage to ensure it wasn’t ice build up.

We have a 2018 Trax with awd. Our "service awd system" warning light came on the other day. No symptoms whatsoever. We can turn the warning off by pushing in on the end of the left stalk (left and right turn signal stalk). I looked at the manual, and it said that its not a big problem if you can reset it with the stalk button. Has anyone else had this happen, and what did you do to rectify the problem? A trip to the dealer, or something that an owner can fix? Thanks in advance. By the way, 33000 miles, and kept in an insulated garage at night.
