The top of the rear spoiler (like there's another spoiler, right?) on my 2015 Trax is very dull and the "paint" is noticeably different from that of the roof and pillars near it. I'm fairly certain this is a plastic piece, which would explain the difference in weathering.
Is there some way to restore the finish to its former glory so it matches the shine and deep color of the paint around it? I've tried some Mothers Protectant as well as some diluted Chemical Guys VRP. Neither provided satisfactory results.

I would take it as an opportunity to just paint it black and call it a day. Even if you can get the matching color, unless your Trax is white it's always gonna look a little off in color compared to the rest of the car.
