After much deliberation and YouTube watching I was successful in removing and replacing left front wheel bearing. After being quoted $800 from shop to do this I decided to tackle the job myself. I ordered a bearing press kit from Amazon and began. I removed the knuckle from the vehicle , knocked the hub out then removed the rusty snap ring. Using a vice I then pressed the old bearing out. Next I put the hub in the vice and cut a “X” in the old bearing inner race still on the hub. Using a large hammer and chisel I broke the old race off. Cleaned up the knuckle and hub. Pressing the new bearing in was much easier then taking old one out. Pressed hub into bearing and ready to go back in the vehicle. Total cost was about $100 for bearing and press. All in all wasn’t too difficult and now I can do the other bearings as needed…. myself no rip off shops needed!! 🤟
