I just got a New 2020 Trax, and when filling it with gas, the pump shuts off all the time, even if the tank is empty. It even spits back gas out. I went to several gas stations and it happens all the time
Is it an obstruction on the gas lines? It sucks being a brand new Trax

You have a bad EVAP solenoid unless you left the vehicle running while trying to fill. It should be open to let air out of the tank. You'll have to bring it back to the dealer unfortunately. Electric parts fail and some never even worked from the start. So much for product testing and quality control.

At the end, it was the tank filler hose that needed to be replace...oh well.
