Consult your owner manual.I have a 2018 Trax and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the vehicle towing anything. Google says that it can support 3500 lbs tow capacity and a 300 lbs tongue weight, but i don't know if I trust it pulling that much with only a 1.4L Turbo.
Agree with you. Trax isn't for towing, period! It's stated clearly in the Owners Manual...That is VERY incorrect. Chevy actually only sells a "hitch connector" for kayaks, bikes etc... BUT some people have had luck with MUCH smaller towing. Here is a link after a quick search on this forum. Welcome and look forward to seeing more people come here. TRAXY will probably be by in a minute to make my response look bad. (Just kidding)

I don't know what other hitch options are available from the aftermarket, but the OEM offered hitch is only made for 110 pounds. If that's the hitch I see randomly on Trax around me, I wouldn't recommend even getting a hitch at all. Even with just a bike rack, the rack flops left and right as they go down the road. Maybe the rack attachment is smaller than the hitch opening and allows ridiculous play, but I don't even like how the zoomed image of the hitch looks from the picture on the website.what about a carrier for a mobility scooter can a 2018 trax be outfitted with a hitch for a carrier specs of scooter say 250 lbs total weight
