Hello Traxers,

I couldn't find much information on the internet about the GM approved Accessory Mount Hitch, so I bought one and made a video. Just in case you all wondered what it looked like. I also will post some pictures. BTW the hitch is 13.2 lbs.

What does it look like after you've fully mounted it onto your Trax?

Did they just include bolts in the hardware or did it also come with washers?

Hey James. No washers. Just bolts. 6 bolts all together.

Here are some pictures of the final project. It was more of a pain in the ass than I thought but it looks and works very well. I'm happy with it. Here is also another video of the install:

Also if you keep the valence piece from the rear bumper molding (that you have to remove to install the hitch) you can cut a hole in it with a razor blade and clip it back onto the bumper in order to hide the hitch a little more. I cut this one out but have yet to put it back on the Trax. Should look good though. It will hide that bright silver muffler a little more. I noticed that the muffler on the Buick Encore is painted black which looks better.

Does anyone know the size of the receiver? I have an Allen Sports bike rack that can fit in a 1.25 inch or 2 inch receiver. My previous vehicle was a Nissan Xterra and the receiver on it was a 2 inch.
By the look of it I would say its a 2" same as you would find on most factory hitches.
Now that is super cool, how much weight can you put on it ?
