Doesn't appear to be in about the last 18 months, but my guess is the front ports were the culprit. Especially if they were removing the cable on a regular basis. Eventually the contacts wear down and don't maintain contact, seen it happen on hundreds of PC's over the 25 years I've been fixing them.
I am currently having this same issue with my 2017 Trax. I have narrowed it down to being a car issue, and not a phone or cable issue. I found this page while searching for all the possible options ie fuse, connector, port. I run a 4000 salvage yard, so I was able get another port if needed, however I want to look into everything else because to replace it, you have to remove the heater/cooling control panel, which is no big deal with a flat head and a 7mm socket, but the trim pieces are thin and fragile. Usually disassembling cars and having no regard for trim pieces, I'm not sure I trust myself not to break one lol
