I am just wondering if different models of the 2024-25 Trax's ride the same over bumpy roads? My Trax Activ 2025 seems to have very stiff suspension. I feel the small road imperfections and cracks. I have all the tires inflated to spec. No additional cargo in rear space.
Anyone else noticing a rough ride??

Does the LT, LS, RS1, RS2, & Active have the same springs??

Different trims, different suspension. On-line search using AI - "The 2025 Chevrolet Trax LT features a standard suspension designed for comfort and everyday driving, while the Trax ACTIV is equipped with a tuned suspension that enhances its rugged capabilities, making it better suited for adventurous driving. This difference allows the ACTIV to provide a smoother ride on rough terrain compared to the LT's more traditional setup."
FWIW: We test drove an ACTIV when we bought our 2025 LT, and thought there was a difference in ride quality.

Actually there is no difference in the suspension parts! The same part numbers regardless of trim level. The 1RS has 18 inch wheels with a performance type tire which would be a bit stiffer ride than an LS or LT with their 17 inchers. The 2RS has 19 inch wheels and even higher performance tires and is the roughest of the lot. I have a 2RS and I am considering going down a size to 18 and using a more general tire.

I have 17" on mine. My tire gauge was off, and they got overfilled by about 8-9 KPA. Lowered to the correct setting of 241 KPA (35 lbs.), and the ride was much more enjoyable. On my last vehicle I had 19" low profile tires and it was great sport driving but always I felt every road inprofection.

Softer compound tires don't necessarily ride nicer than other tires. The tallest sidewall and air pressure dictate ride. Most Trax came from the factory with over inflated tires. Mine were at 42 psi, all 4 of them. 35psi now and that alone made a huge difference. My car came with Hankook tires, they rode nice and were quiet. They were horrible in winter traction and on roads with rain grooves, they were a hand full. My new Michelins are great tires. Drove over the same rain grooves and no searching. Quiet tire for sure and from what I read, they should be great in snow. The Michelins are quite pricey ($220 each) but IMO, worth it.
