Engine Cooling fan not turning off

I have a 2015 Trax and I’ve had to replace the engine fan relay a couple times now. Stays running and drains battery after I turn it off. If I wiggle fuse it will stop. Fan comes on freezing cold days too...when it kicks in it dims my lights and bogs it down. Why does this keep happening?! Factory defect?
Anyone else have this issues?!

This just started happening to my Chevy Trax with 95k miles. Weirdly it happened in October first and took it in with my dealership warranty. Now it’s 2 weeks later with the fan running and my coolant leaking. Dealership says the fixed it but I either don’t trust them or it’s a major issue with Trax. I find it coincidental we all had this issue around the same time as well.

Are you saying that they fixed the persistent fan running in October through warranty? And then you're saying that two weeks later the fan is running again and you now have coolant leaking?

I would take it back. Have them fix the fan again. Leaking coolant is pretty easy to root cause for them. They do a pressure test. Coolant reservoir. Hose. Water pump. Radiator. One of those. Maybe more than one of those.

Did they tell you what they did to fix the persistent fan running when you were there in October? That's either the fan itself or it's the relay. What fix did they do? Maybe it's time to do the other fix. A new fan is no big deal. A new relay is 20 bucks and you can do it yourself. See my previous post.

I have a 2015 chevy trax where my cooling engine fan will not go off. Replaced the cooling engine fan and replaced the cooling temp sensor, checked all of the fuses and my fan still will not go off. I don't know what else is left. I am not sure if it's a shortage in my wires because it's affecting my guide lines for back up camera as well as my apps are gone on my display screen. HELP!!!!
