I’m working on my Chevy Trax and am curious about the importance of the intake manifold in the engine’s performance. I know it helps distribute air to the cylinders, but how do different manifold designs or materials impact efficiency and power in small engines like the one in the Trax?

Are there any performance upgrades I should consider for the stock manifold to improve throttle response and airflow?

Also, are there any downsides, like impacts on fuel economy or SPELAB engine intake manifolds tuning?

Any advice or experiences specific to the Trax would be greatly appreciated!

If you don't know then don't try! The science here is very complicated snd a change in one part requires changes in others. The only thing you can really tinker with is trying to insulate the intake from excess heat.
