I told GM yesterday I want to return my trax and get my money back. Because I started having more issues with it. The tire senses being incorrect and that I need to have it service immediately lost my speedometer again my automatic cruise control is not working and I'm just done with all the problems.
I paid cash for Trax and I suspect all the bells and whistles to work.

Bought 2024 Chevy Tax Activ less than 20 days ago and have had issues with radio since day 1. Appleplay will work for about 5-10 minutes from starting vehicle and then both the infotainment screen and the speedometer screen will both shut off then reboot. After reboot Appleplay will only work via USB cord. Brought it to dealership twice and they were clueless. Finally started to do my own research and found this forum. Dealership has now ordered a new radio but think it is backordered so....

My 2024 Trax 2RS. My digital screens reboot while I am Driving and car-play keeps disconnecting. All software up to date from Dealer. Still happens, Chevrolet has no clue on how to fix the problem. Your not alone

Guys I got my wireless android auto fixed by calling onstar in the car. It was working for 3 months until I canceled the at&t Hotspot. The girl first told me I must have data to use wireless android auto, I told her this is suppose to be a standard features for this car and she put me on hold and spoke to a technician. After a few minutes she came back and ask me to try now, I saw a word Hotspot was enabledon my screen. Hopefully it my stays connected and will help you guy

Has anyone experienced issues with the new 2024 trax bluetooth. I was working , then one day I had issues with my phone not connecting. Deleted my device and now my chevy does not appear on any device I try to sync. I do not know if there is a reset or if anyone else has had this issue.
I had my trax one month and Bluetooth stoped working waiting three months for new radio

My Trax has been continuously in the shop because of the infotainment center. I have a claim open with GM at this time.

question, Is this an android auto issue,
or direct radio issue?(antenna, mic, software, cellphone?
having same issue. bluetooth went out!
everything else is running awesome.
Is there any input on how long dealership has fix this issue. Still on the wait list for a radio!

I called OnStar twice on the Trax on the overhead console. Connection and transfers were near-immediate, reps were friendly and concerned. Nice.

Unlike justin6162's experience in #26 above, I came away unresolved.

A case has been opened and an offline technician will call back within three days. It was suggested a radio reset was in order, but to wait on the tech's intervention.

In the discussion I made clear there was no WiFi signal in the vehicle, one that would show up in my "phone" settings or in my tablet's WiFi scanner/monitor app. As well they understand AndroidAuto itself is 100% OK on USB; it is when I pull the cable it fails as "Looking for Android." Because... there's no WiFi signal. That is, no SSID.

I also insisted it should be recognized that Wireless AndroidAuto/CarPlay and the PAID HotSpot are two distinctly different services even tho the former is a "hot spot," technically known as tethering, with either "hot spot" known as a tether.

Wait and see...

Sidebar 1: The connectivity CarTech in the Trax is essential a mobile device (like our google and apple devices) without the luxury of the usual "clear the cache" or "uninstall/reinstall" or restart the device for basic trouble shooting.

Sidebar 2: I am no longer following the other two threads on this issue. As a community FYI, here is a post I made in one of 'em:
Bluetooth is needed for the phone and texting (SMS). Pairing was never an issue.

The USB cable OR WiFi is necessary for the apps because Bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth.

Sitting in the Trax, the fact there is no WiFi signal present (I have monitoring/scanning software on my Android tablet) is at the root of this situation.

In that I recall there was Wireless AndroidAuto in my Trax until the 30-day OnStar HotSpot trial expired is an enigma. That HotSpot uses AT&T, I think, and costs $50/mo. Yup, there's a SIMM in the Trax.

So, I believe when OnStar disabled it's HotSpot app, it turned off the WiFi radio. Which makes me wonder how many people reporting it worked OK were still on that trial (and never reported it breaking later in the same thread, if at all) or sunscribed to the HotSpot?

The wireless AndroidAuto and CarPlay lets your "phone" WiFi connect to your Trax. As this aspect of Car Tech is new to me, I am at a loss as to how this is enabled.

To connect your "phone" to any WiFi access device, you need to find that WiFi in settings (SSID name), select it and plug in a password (these days, no-password public access is practically non-existent).

I have a dash cam (Rove R2-4K Pro) that connects to my "phone" via WiFi to manage settings and view/download the videos. I have to find it in my "phone" settings (SSID is the cam's serial #) and enter the default password. This disconnects me from my home WiFi, of course, and Android informs "no internet available." Because the cam isn't the internet. When I'm done, I disconnect, find my router and reconnect.

I didn't wait for the tech because I got to notice that when there was none (after the $49.99 HotSpot subscription expired), there appeared a greyed out WiFi HotSpot icon on the Trax home screen. I called again and...

IT'S WORKING! And it's ALL OnStar's fault.

I closed the case and I'll be writing up the "how to" for my situation, which may or may not be everyone's situation in a separate thread which I'm going to try a close to replies. There'll be a terse tutorial on the what it is of USB and WiFi tethering which is a the bottom of all this.

The WiFi monitor/scanner on my android table reports my Trax on 2.4 GHz channel 1.
450 Mbps.
Woot!

Cheers.

Update: See "FIXED!! 2024 "not working" WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO & CAR PLAY" in Gen 2 Discussion.

Special thanks to justin6162 in post #26 above which got my thinking out of first gear.

Unfollowing.

Any luck? I am wanting to do the same and/or pursue the lemon law due to the several issues my Trax is having.

I have a 2024 Chevy Trax as well and as of the last 2 weeks or so my Bluetooth has been disconnecting my phone for calls only. For instance, if im on a call it starts off with it connected and within 10 mins it will go to the speaker of my phone, however the phone shows like its still connected to the car. Its play music just fine so far no issues with it disconnecting.

Several issues with mine. And... it also doesn't like switching from a USB-connected device to a wireless Android Auto display. (I'm sure connecting a new phone to it, was a contributor.) Mine has frozen up, locked up, and screen went blank (multiple times - I think, usually related to connecting or switching a phone). No features were available. I had to take it to the dealer twice, for them to reflash the vehicle. Other times, it reset on its own when I started the vehicle the next day. They're telling me a new Infotainment unit is needed (new radio) but they're on backorder. FYI - if any of this has been happening with yours.
Happening for mine too. So annoying.

Interesting. I had new software update two months ago. Also, my recall notice only mention screen blackout. Says nothing about Bluetooth.
