Since I got my updated part- My entire screen froze. No Nav, radio, park light it was all stuck. I was on the beltway and it just kept repeating the last bear right phrase. I pulled on the shoulder and turned it off. I waited like 10 minutes and push to start it and everything was ok. I wasn’t even touching anything when it happened.

The tow issue. I do/did want a tow bar just to drive my ten speed with me. I travel a lot and don’t really want to use it as a tow for a boat or anything. I don’t want to climb up on my car to use the roof rack though.

There are tow hitches available to put bike racks on. I just wouldn't recommend towing trailers with the Trax, but some people have already.

Post about any issues/problems you have experience with your chevy trax in this thread.
I have a 2015 Chevy Trax I purchased from S&R Motors in February of 2023 with 79772 miles on it as is. Since this purchase I have had to have the valve cover gasket and power pack replaced all ready and now it appears there is a leak in the valve cover and other assorted problems with compression and some electrical issues with sensors. Are these issues covered through a recall and can I look to Chevy to correct them free of charge or reimburse me for expenses I've incurred?

Have had my 25’ Activ for two weeks now, with about 400 miles. Only 3 gripes I’ve had so far is:
1. Slightly intrusive road noise at 50 mph and above, it almost sounds as if a window is creaked open at times.
2. Undesirable audio quality, but easily fixed with swapping out for better speakers. Tweaking the audio settings helps make it slightly more tolerable to listen to.
3. CarPlay has stopped working a few times, but it did this in my Nissan a few times as well so I’m thinking typical Apple quality.

I have to admit, with how attractive Mazda's warranty and leasing terms and pricing seems to be, it's a good option to go that route. Thankfully the compact segment is growing, giving us more options. Tougher times for the Trax and Encore!
I had a CX-50, both fobs went dead in five months and power mirrors stuck in the closed position to the car in the cold. Plus the blind spot system had sensitivity issues. Felt good to have a US built car, but the quality was not worth the lease offer from Mazda. You feel every bump in a new CX-5 too, I tested one of those too.

In comparison, the one fob on my last Chevy never died in the five years I had it before the car was totaled.

I had aftermarket fogs put in. Stock low beam wiring harness was replaced with an aftermarket one that fed both low beams and fogs. 1 fog bulb has been replaced. Now the fogs don't come on at all. 2 or 3 mornings a week, the clock is off about 7 or 8 minutes. I reset the clock, and it's fine for a few days. '15 LT AWD.

I have exactly the same issue as Boondocker. I have had to replace the Turbo once. I lost power and brought it to the dealership. They said the warranty wanted me to continue to drive the Trax after the engine code was reset. I drove it for another 50 km and it had the same issue. It was 4 days to repair the vehicle. Now it is doing the same thing again. This time it is intermittent. I dropped my speed from 100km/hr to 80km/hr and it seemed to reset something. I am waiting for it to happen again and with an engine code so they can see it happening. My wife also took a video of the spedometer this time. Unless GM comes out with a fix I will not be keeping this vehicle.
What year is your Chevy trax I just bought a 2018 and wondering what kind of issues I will have?

Clock issue was from a loose positive battery terminal. Fog light issue was due to a corroded relay.

Back in July my 2018 Trax with 60k miles started to overheat but there’s no temp. Gauge for the dash and a light never came on. I only noticed my drivers side AC was not blowing cold. Took it a shop they said I was just out of Freon. Later that month I get a warning “Engine Overheating Going Into Idle” I pulled over and was out of coolant, which never happens as I always stay on top of my fluids. I ended up needing an entire new coolant system, radiator, turbo, and engine. I am thinking of installing an aftermarket temp gauge so this won’t happen again.
Re: new coolant system, radiator, turbo, and engine.
Wow! How much did all of this cost, if you don’t mind me asking?

2018 Trax LT AWD. Owned since new. Just 31,000 miles on it. Avg mpg in that time is 31.2. Recently had a tire pressure sensor replaced and the flex pipe was cracked so had that replaced. ($$$ouch) Other than that no other issues. We live in Northeastern Pennsylvania so salt damage is a concern. It's washed regularly and so far no rust underneath.

Hi, it is better to change a full item because on your mileage it will also go out of order soon, I installed from the zzp but that plastic connector left from the OEM part only with the zzp o-ring..https://zzperformance.com/products/1-4l-aluminum-coolant-outlet-kit?_pos=17&_sid=90c8e4444&_ss=r also look the item by your car VIN code on gm parts gigant if you want the OEM one, but it suck... as I see on the photo you got problem with plastic hose connector it is broken, may be it is enough to change only that plastic clip..GM 55354565 Connector, Throttle Body Heater Inlet Hose

Oh yeah ! the fob went through the washing machine. Took out the battery, dried it off well and it kept working....
Our fob also stopped working. We replaced the battery in the fob twice. Seems like there are dud batteries. Our major complaint is cold weather operation.
has anyone answered you question as of yet? im having the same issue
