Anyone know what the manual take rate is?

 

I was a little bummed out I couldn't get a manual with my AWD, I love to drive manual transmission cars.

Right now I have 2, an old ZO6 and a new Z51, both a fun to drive, I like to choose what gear I want to be in when I want to be in it.

Manual with AWD would be killer, imagine how many more gear heads they would get with allowing that combination

 

I dunno. I like manuals over automatic. Not only is it becoming a lost skill that seems to make people think you're some kind of wizard because you know how to operate one, but it also works as a sort of anti-theft device. Who's going to want to steal my vehicle if I accidentally leave it unlocked at night if they can't even drive it?

The only downside is it hurts the resale value because people do seem to prefer automatics over manuals though. =\

 

only if you go with there dealer, private, to the right guy fetches a premium...

A decision like this is going to be made on hard data. Chevy will look at how many people would opt for the manual with cars in this segment and decide accordingly. Its not really a driver's car so I think that most people will opt for the automatic. There has to be enough demand for the manual to make it worth building, or they need to charge enough extra for the automatic to offset the cost of building the car with two different transmissions.

 

to a degree, but the TRAX being based on Gamma II which is shared with Sonic and Opel Mokka (well TRAX is Mokka) it's already engineered to take both so its not as intensive as you outlined...

 

It will be a good idea if they do, i think americans will really love it especially in a vehicle like this.
If canadians got it i dont see why they wont make it available in the states
