My 2016 did the exact same thing a few months ago at 56000 miles. Just kept refilling and watching closely. Never a spot or drip in my driveway. Got home one day and coolant dumped out from underneath the passenger side seat. Water pump. Took the dealer they pressure tested and said I had a hairline crack on the drivers side in the radiator. I asked to speak to a manager and insisted they pressure check again. That was not where the big leak was at. They tested again and said yes water pump and radiator. Water pump was 300. They had to special order the radiator and sent me home and told me to keep an eye on the coolant. I used AC Delco cooling system tabs. 7.00 on Amazon. Worked like a charm. It will buy me some time for that 1400 radiator repair.I just sprung a coolant leak on my 2016 Trax at 78000Kms. I haven't been able to locate the leak yet because it's not leaking enough to drip on the pavement. Looking under the hood reveals nothing but I can smell it and the reservoir is dropping ever so slightly. Waiting game, but I will bring it in to get pressure tested.
Flip them on ebay, would easily pay the cost of your 1 each.I changed the spark plugs myself. Didn't torque the #1 plug enough. it came loose and fried the solenoid. of course all 4 solenoids are packaged as 1 unit. $322 later...
Just swapped this out last week for a P496 CEL code. Those connectors on the top left a easily broken even on my 2020. Cheap and brittle
Very CommonMy 17 with 42k miles needs a turbo replacement. Dealership did not really care to explain to me why. I'm wondering if this is unusual for only 42k miles. Is it a concern that might lead to other problems?

What a run of bad stuff. Would you consider a GMC Terrain or Acadia?Have a 2015 Chevy trax AWD. Had only 50k miles on it used. In the past two years, the car went to ****.
First the radio went out on it. I can't do anything with it. Lucky for me at least I can change channels via steering wheel buttons.
Then in the first year, the ac went out. It takes over an hour for ac to go from hot air to lukewarm or very light cool air...no AC. Took the car in and had the compressor changed and freon flush performed. Ac worked for one week then quit again. I live in TX and can't afford to keeping paying through the nose every few weeks to TRY to get the ac fixed - yet have no choice because in the summer now and burning up anytime have to be in the car.
Then after a year and a half the windshield wiper fluid stopped working.
All I can do with this crap car is hold off until my trade in will be more than what is still owed on the car in two years, then wash my hands of such a lemon of a car.
And due to this experience.....
I will NEVER buy or trust a chevy made vehicle again.
only thing I have heard people complain about is it's power output, aside from that there's nothing else.

My 2013 does this n the traction light come on and it goes all crazy then stop ?Electronic Issue Our 2016 Trax has been in the shop for almost 4 weeks now. They have not been able to fix any of them - last I heard 10 others at this one dealership, I am sure more at other dealerships! The RPMs rev up and down while driving at a constant speed. The speedometer goes from high to low or off while at a constant speed the gas gauge is all over (up and down) while driving Anyone else have this issue? The dealership just said we can pick it up next week, "it is safe to drive", but we haven't fixed the problem. I am thinking this is not right, the TRAX might be operational, but is still not working %100. Haven't had it a year yet. Anyone else?
If you like hot acceleration, Trax is the wrong choice. Look into a Camaro with big engine.True, there's only one engine option: the 1.4 turbo.
It certainly is not a speed monster. Turbo power only kicks in at around 4000 rpm.
In automatic (D) gear it is sluggish, not much kick-down accelleration. In Manual (M) you will notice you can step on it's tail but don't forget to push the + button to shift (I tend to forget to do that in my excitement and the engine has no trouble getting high revs)
It does have high torque. Getting up a slope does not need shifting, only pressing the accelerator pedal further down.
I understand you can shift gears MANUALLY in atleast my 2022 Trax.Shouldn't they have a gear that makes it easier to get up a steep incline or tow? NO sense in being so hard on the engine.
